In this book we are introduced to author, Honor Calhoun, who gets attacked one morning while out for a run. Though she tries her hardest to fight back and get away, she is unsuccessful. She is thrown in a hole in the ground to wait for her attacker to come back but in the struggle she managed to swipe his cell phone.
The only problem?
The battery is running low and due to her location, reception is spotty.
Next, we meet Marine Nathan Reed who is stationed at a nearby base. During poker night with his buddies, Nathan receives a text from a mutual acquaintance's phone. This particular person is not someone he cares for and has always rubbed Nathan the wrong way. This person is also at the poker game and is clearly not the one texting him. Racing against time, Nathan has just become Honor's only hope for survival.
I love this read and I hope you will too!
