She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious-her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach's a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger to be Noah's only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands-with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club-to give them a better life.
Living with outlaw bikers wasn't Sophie's plan for her son, but Ruger isn't giving her a choice. He'll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she'll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way.
Sophie and Ruger meet in the most embarrassing way possible, she's just lost her virginity to her boyfriend and Ruger's stepbrother, Zach when he walks in on them. Nine months later he comes to her rescue, helping to deliver his nephew Noah when Zach is too drunk to drive her to the hospital after she goes into labor.
Fast forward seven years later and Ruger once again comes to her aid, whisking both she and Noah to live with him in Idaho, after he discovers Sophie and Noah are living in an unsafe apartment.
I don't necessarily like bossy Alpha males but there's just something about Ruger. What I enjoyed most, aside from the way Ms. Wylde's writing just sucks you in, was the pure and simple chemistry between Sophie and Ruger. Their progression from forced house guests to more felt honest and natural, one that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Another, high point was Ruger's relationship with Noah, and his fierce love for a son he claimed as his own the minute he laid eyes on him seven years ago. I loved how he put Noah first and refused to budge when it came to his safety and welfare. I'm sure it will have all the ladies swooning!
This book, for me, had everything you could possibly want in a book: great characters, action to move the plot along, just enough drama to keep you invested, and super hot sexual chemistry that smoked off the page that leaves you begging for more!
