She lives for the moment…
Will they find a common ground?
Lex Fitzgerald is not your average billionaire. He leads a double life as the conscientious head of his family and the pleasure-seeking rogue who parties hard and pushes the limits in and out of the bedroom. His two worlds are about to collide because of one woman, Jillian Finnegan.
Lex needs a secret weapon to defeat a competitor and finds it in Jillian Finnegan. He has no intention of letting her potty mouth, her crazy lifestyle, or her eccentric family get in his way. So when he makes her an offer, he expects her to accept. However, sparks start to fly when Jillian gives him a counteroffer and dares him to refuse. Has Lex finally met his match?
Let the seduction begin.
When we meet Lex Fitzgerald, he is on the lookout for a wife to help woo an old-fashioned Japanese client who believes unmarried men are unstable. His solution? To hire one of the actresses currently employed on a movie he's financially backing. That is, until he meets Jillian Finnegan, stunt woman and the one woman to get his motor revving. Not only does she know cars and bikes but she comes with plenty of sass and attitude. Impulsively, he decides Jillian's the one for the job...now he just has to convince her to agree.
Jillian agrees for a price, and that price means getting her father and family the money they need to keep the local goons from coming around again. So they agree in a few weeks to get married until such time that they can get a divorce.
As they maneuver around jealous co-workers, family drama, and someone who will stop at nothing to make trouble for her family and get to Jillian they must come to terms with how they really feel-besides their insane attraction.
I think my favorite part about this particular book was that Jillian was a stunt woman who was also part of a circus act on the side. It was so refreshing to see someone who was take-charge and fun instead of the usual down on her luck woman who get roped into these things. The interaction between her and her family really pulled at your heartstrings and made the integration of the couple feel plausible and honest in such a short time frame.
I also really liked how genuine Lex was, he was nice, sweet and considerate making it damn near impossible not to fall for him as Jillian was. I enjoyed how he made sure to take her into consideration when making decisions and how they were effectively a team: they supported each other and stopped at nothing to protect the other. I personally can't wait for book 2!
