He wasn’t even on my radar.
He was my husband’s best friend—forbidden.
But my husband is dead and I’m alone. I ache for him and I reach for Liam.
One night with Liam changed everything. Now I have to decide if I truly love him or if he’s just the consolation prize.
To me, how the author chose to reveal certain plot twists and explained the transition from grieving widow/barely surviving to acceptance and moving on felt really honest, real, and completely plausible. I liked how both she and Liam struggled with their feelings, being respectful to Aaron's memory and being true to their own relationship.
Of course, just when you think you have everything figured out in true Corinne Michaels fashion-she through us for a loop! What a twist it was! Holy hell, Batman, that ending made a fantastic book even better and now I am completely jonesing for the next book! May can not come soon enough!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good romance, smokin' hot military guys, and sparkin' chemistry between their two leads!
