Reeling from her older brother, Collin's death, in the same plane she's training to fly, Tink is mad at her politician father and the reports for classifying her brother's death as a 'pilot error.'
While drunk on the beach she throws a bottle and hits a tall, gorgeous British hunk named Locke. Not the smoothest way to meet a guy, but it left an impression! They have an instant connection and after a great night together, are shocked to discover he is her new superior officer.
Tink spends most of the book trying to figure out what went wrong with her brother's last flight up, desperate to clear his name while not compromising her position on the team and struggle with her feelings for Locke, who is off-limits.
Without spoiling anything about this great book, I will say I loved it! I gave it 4 1/2 stars for a wonderful mix of angst, action, humor and an adventurous plot that also features a band of kick-ass fighter pilots. While this book does contain the romance between Locke & Tink, it has too much of a compelling story-line to
be brushed off as just a romance.
I'm hoping this is not the last we have heard of this world and that maybe we'll get a couple more sequels for Ash & Bodhi's stories. *crosses fingers* All-in-all, it was a helluva debut book by Jamie Rae and I can't wait to read more!
